A 2007 memo from the Fairfax County Public Schools Office of Facilities Planning Services to the Fairfax County Department of Planning & Zoning Zoning Evaluation Division has been added the Resource Center best practices database. This document shows how density affects planning for new students and new schools in Fairfax County, VA. Specifically, the document shows the specific ratios of students that will be generated by a new dense development. This is an example that cities and school districts can follow when discussing higher density housing additions to the community, and the expenses that result.

Transit Cooperative Research Program Report 153, "Guidelines for Providing Access to Public Transportation Stations," has been added to the Research Center best practices database. The report offers guidelines for providing access to rapid transit stations, describes a station access planning process, and provides a high-level station access planning tool.

A 2009 report prepared by the National Bus Rapid Transit Institute, Center for Urban Transportation Research, on behalf of the Federal Transit Administration has been added the Resource Center best practices database.  "Bus Rapid Transit and Development: Policies and Practices that Affect Development Around Transit" explores the relationship between land use and bus rapid transit (BRT) system development in comparison to other fixed-guideway modes such as heavy and light rail.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Council of Economic Advisers today issued a 36 page report detailing the economic benefits that accrue from infrastructure investments.

Ozbil for his Doctor of Philosophy degree in the College of Architecture at Georgia Institute of Technology.

A 2005 report "Some Facts To Counter The Myths About Higher Density," authored by the Urban Land Institute along with the National Multi Housing Council, Sierra Club and the American Institute of Architects, has been added to the Resource Center best practices database.
