Do you have an understanding of affordable housing and transit-oriented development principles and strategies? Can you identify policy strategies, particularly for federal reform in Congress and at Administration levels? Would you like to immerse yourself in research and writing with a focus on mixed-income housing and sustainable communities?
Reconnecting America has an immediate opening for a Policy Associate in its Washington, DC, office. The Policy Associate will work to elevate Reconnecting America’s overall presence in national research and policy-making forums on mixed-income housing located near transit, and work with other Reconnecting America staff to achieve adoption of transit and equitable TOD supportive policies and investments at the federal level in particular, but also at state and local level. The position reports to the Policy Director and works in close coordination with the policy team and other program areas of the organization.
