Sam Zimbabwe presented on TOD at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning's workshop titled: "Crisis and Opportunities: Transit-Oriented Development and the Region's Economy". The presentation outlines some of the goals and benefits of TOD and how barriers to implementation can be addressed. The workshop also included regional projects and the Mayor of Palatine, Illinois talking about the downtown transformation in her city.

Sam Zimbabwe, Technical Assistance Director, participated in a panel during the Build Boston 2008 conference with Monica Lamboy, Executive Director of the City of Somerville Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development, and Meridith Levy, Organizing Director of the Somerville Community Corporation about the planned Green Line extension in Somerville, Massachusetts. This powerpoint was used by all three participants to explain the challenges and opportunities for creating equitable transit-oriented development and ongoing participation by a variety of stakeholders.
